Map the flight path
Repeated movement to one point is more informative than isolated wasps feeding on flowers or outdoor food.
- Observe from a protected distance
- Keep entrances and work areas clear
- Do not block the active opening
Allow returning wasps to contact the treatment
After treatment, some workers may return from foraging. Removing an accessible nest or sealing an entrance too early can interfere with control.
- Follow the technician’s timing
- Expect short-term residual activity
- Keep people and pets away
Prevent after activity has ended
Once the nest is inactive, accessible gaps and attractive conditions can be corrected before another season.
- Seal soffit and siding gaps
- Manage waste and outdoor food
- Inspect recurring nesting areas each spring
