What bumble bees look like
Bumble bees are robust, densely hairy bees, usually marked in black and yellow or orange. Their fuzzy abdomen helps distinguish them from shiny carpenter bees.
Where activity develops
Colonies may nest in abandoned rodent burrows, dense vegetation, insulation or protected cavities. They are important pollinators and should not be disturbed unnecessarily.
